Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County

You can make a difference in the life of a San Diego boy! There are more than 400 boys waiting for a Big Brother volunteer. What does it take to be a Big Brother? Just being yourself, laughing a lot, and a willingness to be a friend to a child. Believe it or not, there are children in San Diego who have never been to the beach or played in sports. You can open up new horizons for a child just by being in his life and sharing everyday moments. Big Brothers & Big Sisters makes volunteering flexible and fun; you pick the time, you choose the activities. Become a Big Brother to a child today, and both of you will be changed by the experience. TEMECULA CYCLIST CHARITY RIDE FROM SAN DIEGO TO OKLAHOMA CITY

Eric McGinnis believes that heroes come in all sizes! He recently made the commitment to cycle approximately 1,500 miles to raise money for two special charities…. Rick Roberts’ “WARRIOR FOUNDATION” assisting San Diego military personnel and “ALLY’S HOUSE” assisting families with children suffering from Cancer.
“My passion for the Warrior Foundation and Ally’s House grew instantly after learning about the great work they do,” Eric said. “They are all heroes in my eyes and in my heart. I only hope that many others will follow in my passion in supporting these wonderful children and soldiers.” Eric departs on his journey the morning of October 4th from the USS MIDWAY in downtown San Diego. The ride will end in Oklahoma City at Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar & Grill” restaurant in Oklahoma City (Toby Keith established Ally’s House and Rick Roberts established the Warrior Foundation).
